Engineered / Quartz Countertops

Engineered countertops are stone countertops manufactured from quartz crystals. They are bound together using a resin binder. These countertops should not be confused with natural stone countertops made from pure sandstone, granite, or marble.

Advantages of engineered countertops

The benefits of using engineered stone include:

Stain-resistant surfaces

The surfaces of engineered countertops are not susceptible to stains from juice, wines, oils, coffee, or other substances that may encounter the surface.

Water-resistant surfaces

Engineered countertops are non-porous, making it impossible for water to be absorbed through the surface. This makes engineered countertops perfect for kitchens and bathrooms.

Durable

Engineered stone is very hard in nature, making it long-lasting and less susceptible to breakage, cracking, or chipping off. Additionally, the surfaces of engineered countertops are resistant to cuts and scratches, which suggests that with proper maintenance, such as using cutting boards or chopping boards, engineered countertops can last for a long time.

Easy to clean

Since the surface of engineered stone is non-porous, it does not absorb any liquid, thereby allowing you to clean the surface easily and quickly.

Food safety

The non-porous nature of the stone makes it hard for bacteria to hide in the pores, which makes engineered countertops safe for use when preparing food in the kitchen, such as meat, vegetables, or fish.
